I was expecting a cutesy alien pet type movie along the line of ET what I got was quite different. Cute aliens with sharks teeth when they open their mouths.

A meteor crashes to earth (even this was much funnier than it sounds!) then a life form starts to grow and grow. Cells divide and divide and form new forms of life - none of it being cute and lovable. Each wave of life becomes more and more of a problem eventually ecaping into the wild. There is a blatent product placement in this but woven cleverly - almost - into the plot of the movie.
